Careless

Today is a struggle.
Yes, Saturdays always are a day when I fall apart, but storms hit Los Angeles and now my city too, has fallen apart.

There’s no power.
There’s no phones.
There’s flooding,
There’s people trapped in their cars with live high voltage lines thrashing in the pools of rain that surround them.
Our infrastructure is totally aged-out.

Ohio is poisoned.
Michigan’s fish are full of forever-chemicals.
Flint’s water is still poisonous.
North Carolina’s water ways are toxic with PFAS.
Erin Brockovich battles on…

and of course….
Luke is dead.

Nothing will be done.
There will be no meaningful change, just a bunch of virtue signaling and finger pointing.

I feel that I live in a country that is careless with it’s people.
