10

I can read it - just about!

10 years without Luke.

Sam ponders “why is it so, that we feel we have to mark these special numbers?”

I research deep into the early hours to find the answer.
Lots of talk about Roman road markings in tens
Lots of biblical stuff, the Torah, the spiritual, horoscopes…

Aline chimes in with...”It’s not the10 per se, it is that 9 is a completion. 10 is the starting of the new phase”

So, I am here in year 10.
I have completed 9 with out Luke.

So what of this new phase?
Yes, I feel different.

I can work, create.
I have considered letting Luke’s ashes fly to the wind… but have not.
I have moved, not away from the house where Luke lived, but towards another where he is welcome.

No more, the large gatherings.
We will be quiet on this day of days.
We will light our candle and stay close.

He is forever missed and this day will never be OK.
